Age of conflicts and weapons

  We used to talk about the modernization of our culture into a highly developed civil humane society. And perhaps most people still live in this much-desired illusion of peaceful mutual relations. 

Counselors, mediators and all SOS telephones are available free of charge to all members of our society, including children and adolescents, to resolve any form of distress, trauma and conflict. There are also workshops for so-called nonviolent communication. 

We also boasted highly developed diplomacy, the task of which was the peaceful and diplomatic resolution of both national and interstate conflicts. And, of course, founded a whole bunch of organizations and associations. 

Next, we were awakened to the reality of everyday life by the completely unexpected military intervention in Ukraine, which means a state of war on the borders of the European Union (EU). And suddenly we can realize that all the developed diplomatic activity has fallen in the real life environment to the level of resolving conflicts with weapons and measuring power at the military level. And in fact, and most likely, this military intervention, which is actually a reflection of the crisis of our new and old cultural values, will also be resolved according to the law of military superiority. 

The true contra-reality of a humane society is revealed when adolescents and children become verbally as well as physically violent. It's even worse when they try to solve all their traumas or conflicts with others, imaginary or real or just the need for recognition of superiority or supremacy over others and the desire for stardom, even children and adolescents, with firearms. In short, fists and yelling and cursing have now replaced weapons, even among minors. Then it is time to think why all our peaceful theory has degenerated into brutal and violent and military resolution of relations with others. But perhaps this everyday reality is quite simply the old human tendency to terrorize and dominate others through the use of weapons, which we cannot possibly eradicate from our human animal essence.
