December expectations
I've been thinking for some time now, why I can't get into the happy mood of December, which coincides with the end of the old year and wishes for a successful, healthy and happy new year.
Maybe the reason for this bad mood of mine is the fact that on the outskirts of the European Union (EU) there are war hotspots with all their horrors, which can spread to the territory of the EU.
Maybe the already announced higher electricity prices are spoiling my happy December mood, and this in the coldest days of December and January. And this despite the government's announcement that the state will once again intervene in electricity prices with its subsidies.
And of course, perhaps after previous experiences with pre-New Year's and New Year's price increases, I expect a consequent increase in the prices of other services and items that we need in our daily lives.
After all, it is possible that it is even good that I am a little more skeptical and do not indulge mindlessly in the happy December mood and all the colorful Christmas and New Year sales offers. The carefree happy shopping mood of December can easily leave me, or most likely all of us, a veritable desert in our bank account and a bitter sobriety in the New Year, which will most likely serve up a whole bunch or a bundle of price hikes.
