Mother's Day and birth rate
As they used to say, it is the mother who carries her child in her body from conception to birth. The child breathes, feeds and grows in her until birth. And usually, in the first year of age, the biological mother also breastfeeds him, or the child is fed with breast milk. Precisely because of this, Mother's Day, which is celebrated in Slovenia on March 25, is becoming more and more popular as the day of all mothers.
The education and care of the child after birth can be provided for the child in addition to the biological parents, as well as others, from relatives onwards. Precisely because of carrying a child in her body, the mother is irreplaceable for the continuation of the human species, or birth rate.
In 2023, more than 30 million little Earthlings were already born. The African continent currently has the highest birth rate, which exceeds the average fertility factor of 4. Among the countries with the highest birth rates, Niger, Somalia, Congo, Mali, Chad, Angola, Burundi, Nigeria, Gambia and Burkina Faso follow each other. Asia and the islands of Oceania, by comparison, have an average fertility factor of just over 2, which is half the average African fertility factor. Latin America and the Caribbean have an average birth or fertility factor of 2. The birth or fertility factor on the European and North American continents is less than 2.
