Wars and human population

All the horrors of war with killed soldiers and also civilians are not necessarily reflected in the reduce of the human population. We would probably expect that a state of war in a country reduces the number of its citizens, but we can find data that contradicts this expected fact. We know of at least two hot spots of war in the vicinity of the European Union, namely the invasion of Russia, which is always supported by China, also through the territory of Belarus into Ukraine, and of course the Palestinian-Israeli war, in which at least Lebanon and Iran are said to be involved. In Russia, with a population of almost 144 million citizens, the human population decreased by 0.34% compared to last year. In the invaded Ukraine, with almost 38 million people, the human population increased by 0.47%. In the involved Belarus, with almost 9.5 million citizens, the population decreased by 4.5% compared to last year. In supporting China or traditional Russian supporter with one billion and...

Will humans overload the Earth?

The population of people on planet Earth has already exceeded 8 billion since last year. More precisely, in the year 2024, on this day, there are already more than 8.084.662.751 people on Earth and the number is still increasing due to all the factors of decreasing the number of people on our planet Earth. Wars are spreading across our planet Earth, as are shortages of goods and hunger, but the number of Earthlings has already grown by more than 2 million and 298 thousand in 2024. In 2024, more than 1 million and 899 thousand people died. More than 4 million and 197 thousand of them have been born according to the data on worldometer. The following countries contribute the most to the increase of the human population on Earth with the largest reproduction factors at the annual level or the increase of their population: Syria (+4,98%), Moldova (+4,98%), Niger (+3,8%), DR Congo (+3,29%) and Chad (3,13%). Mali, Somalia, Angola and Mayotte also have an annual increase of more than 3% of th...

Mother's Day and birth rate

As they used to say, it is the mother who carries her child in her body from conception to birth. The child breathes, feeds and grows in her until birth. And usually, in the first year of age, the biological mother also breastfeeds him, or the child is fed with breast milk. Precisely because of this, Mother's Day, which is celebrated in Slovenia on March 25, is becoming more and more popular as the day of all mothers.  The education and care of the child after birth can be provided for the child in addition to the biological parents, as well as others, from relatives onwards. Precisely because of carrying a child in her body, the mother is irreplaceable for the continuation of the human species, or birth rate.  In 2023, more than 30 million little Earthlings were already born. The African continent currently has the highest birth rate, which exceeds the average fertility factor of 4. Among the countries with the highest birth rates, Niger, Somalia, Congo, Mali, Chad, Ang...

Birth rate and jobs

In the past, we were concerned about the renewal birth rate or population growth, which meant in practice two children per adult couple.  We calculated something like this: "At twenty, our children will be adults who have completed high school and are looking for their first job. They will also be thinking about starting a family. If they start one right away and also get a job, they will have twenty years of working life , when their children will be twenty years old and they will finish high school and want a job and children. In short, in twenty years, which is not enough for retirement, employers would have to create two new jobs. Only for their grandchildren would they release their working years at forty our jobs. And of course we will replace our retired parents". Of course, we realized even then that we are not actually capable of creating these jobs and were relieved when young people decided to have children a little later, somewhere between the ages of twenty-seve...
