Illegally to other countries

We all need to know that we can only cross the border between countries with valid passports, unless otherwise agreed, such as free passage between countries, for example within the European Union for European citizens. When illegal migrants appear, who then remain in the country, we often wonder about the second-class status of our own citizens. The rules for crossing the border between countries are supposed to apply to everyone, both foreigners and our own citizens. Especially if they mention the criminality of crossing the border past the border crossing and without valid papers. In the past year 2024, according to the Police Information Administration, Police Opinion Sector, 46,192 unauthorized entries into Slovenia were processed in Slovenia alone, despite the fact that the so-called Schengen border has moved south to Croatia, which means entry into the EU and also into Slovenia for other citizens on the southern border of Croatia. Of course, the most common offenders or illegal ...

Illegal migrations and war

Perhaps the proximity of war zones on the outskirts of the European Union (EU) has contributed to the slightly reduced number of illegal migrants in this year that has not yet ended. The EU is deeply connected, at least with the Russia-Ukraine war, which has a good chance of escalating into a global military conflict even between the south and north of planet Earth. And of course, this war has brought the smell of war to Slovenia, as an EU member, on its own territory. In the still unfinished year of 2024, the Uniformed Police Administration, Border Police Sector, handled 44,331 unauthorized entries into Slovenia. In the entire year of 2023, there were 55,228 such cases of unauthorized entries into the country. The most frequent illegal entries into the country this year were citizens of Syria, Afghanistan and Turkey. This year, as many as 42,673 migrants have expressed their intention to submit applications for international protection, and all of them most likely expect at leas...

Exporters and importers of human capital

Today, capital also includes people, despite all the industrialization and even the predicted robotization and even artificial intelligence. All over the European Union (EU) and even in North America, there is said to be a shortage of labor or, in other words, human capital in certain industries. Some data on the worldometer confirm this. Europe had a negative population growth of -0.17%. In 2023, Europe counted just over 742 million people. As many as 792,167 migrants came to Europe with pleasure. Everything points to the fact that Europe is unable to motivate its inhabitants to increase the birth rate and has recapitalized its human capital through positive migration to Europe. And whether Europe needs human capital or not. Data on North America show that positive increases in migration cannot be avoided. North America had a positive population growth of 0.54%. Nevertheless, it had 1,249,364 additional migrations. Their birth rate also has a coefficient of 1.6, which is higher than t...

Intolerance towards migrants or the economic crisis

Demonstrations have risen again against migrants, especially illegal ones, who subsequently apply for international protection after illegally crossing the state or Schengen borders of the EU. Of course, interpretations of the protection of migrants' rights are different. For most countries on a global scale, illegal border crossing is considered a crime. And here migrants who state that they are at risk in other countries and, of course, often also citizens of countries outside the alliances, should not be an exception. Most countries rely not only on a professional army to defend the country, but also on the military mobilization of their citizens in the event of a greater threat of war. In many countries, the duty to defend one's country is also among the constitutionally defined duties of their citizens. Slovenia also has this duty of its citizens enshrined in its constitutional Constitution, as the highest legal act of Slovenia. This is how the rights and duties of citize...
