Wars and human population

All the horrors of war with killed soldiers and also civilians are not necessarily reflected in the reduce of the human population. We would probably expect that a state of war in a country reduces the number of its citizens, but we can find data that contradicts this expected fact.

We know of at least two hot spots of war in the vicinity of the European Union, namely the invasion of Russia, which is always supported by China, also through the territory of Belarus into Ukraine, and of course the Palestinian-Israeli war, in which at least Lebanon and Iran are said to be involved.

In Russia, with a population of almost 144 million citizens, the human population decreased by 0.34% compared to last year. In the invaded Ukraine, with almost 38 million people, the human population increased by 0.47%. In the involved Belarus, with almost 9.5 million citizens, the population decreased by 4.5% compared to last year. In supporting China or traditional Russian supporter with one billion and 425 million citizens, the number of their population decreased by 0.03%.

The next example is, of course, the Palestinian-Israeli military conflict. In Palestine, with a population of almost 5.5 million, their number is expected to rise by 2.3%. In Israel, with 9.3 million citizens, which was first attacked by Hamas from Palestine and Hezbollah from Lebanon and then invaded the Palestinian territories, their human population grew by 1.49%.

Lebanon's population of 5.2 million decreased by 2.52%. Also involved, Iran with a population of nearly 90 million has a 0.71% increase in its population. Even in the United States, which is embroiled in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict with its nearly 342 million citizens, the human population increased by 0.53%.

According to the same data, the number of the human population decreased the most in Moldova, namely by 3.09%. They are followed by Lebanon with 2.52%.

More than 1 % reduce population have Poland (1.96%), Slovakia (1.59%), Hungary (1.59%), Romania (1.38%), Latvia (1.09%) and Bulgaria (1.03%). All these countries are found on the outskirts of Ukraine. It is most likely possible to find the reason for the decrease in their population in negative migrations and low birth rates. However, it is a possible cause in the reduction of their population even in the immediate danger of war near their borders.
